Diabetes T2 – Improves general fitness

Evidence summary (Updated 2022)

Those with Type 2 Diabetes have lower fitness levels than those without [3]. Meta-analysis of RCTs have shown that regular exercise is associated with improved fitness. Higher intensity exercise is associated with greater improvements in cardiorespiratory fitness [1-3].

Conclusion
It is strongly recommended that people with Type 2 DM are recommended to be physically active on a regular basis to improve fitness.
